1. What is Windows Rescue Center?

Windows Rescue Center is a fake anti-spyware program, which is used to display bogus computer security alerts, thus making user believe that his machine is infected. The program is very similar to trusted anti-spyware programs because of its functionality and appearance. Windows Rescue Center can perform computer scan, detect viruses, alert user about found threats and computer security problems – just like any other PC security software. The truth is that all threats detected by this program are not real, used to scare user and persuade him to make a payment for Windows Rescue Center license in order to activate malware removal function. Unfortunately, Windows Rescue Center is not able to remove any kind of real viruses or spyware, even after the license has been purchased. The program belongs to the same family as Windows Salvage System, Windows Efficiency Analyzer, Windows Saviour Firewall, Windows Accidents Prevention, Windows Anticrashes Utility, Windows Troubles Solver, Windows Custom Settings, Windows Necessary Firewall, Windows Risks Preventions, Windows Firewall Unit, Windows Profile System, Windows Precautions Center, Windows Repairing System.

Windows Rescue Center infects computers through Trojan, which can be picked through fake online computer scanners. The program pretends to be a part of Microsoft Security Essentials and alerts user about potential threats with the following message:

Microsoft Security Essentials Alert
Potential Threat Details
Microsoft Security Essentials detected potential threats that might compromise your private or damage your computer. Your access to these items may be suspended until you take an action. Click 'show details' to learn more.

Important!
If your computer is infected with Windows Rescue Center, after each Windows start or reboot usual desktop will be disabled. To restore normal Windows desktop you have to run computer scan with Windows Rescue Center and close the program.

All warnings generated by Windows Rescue Center are not true and are used only to scare user stating that his computer system is not secure, thus persuading him to buy commercial program version. Do not make any payments requested by this program. All threats detected by Windows Rescue Center are not real and should be disregarded. It is illegal anti-spyware software and is used to scare and deceive user. Use Windows Rescue Center removal guide instead.
