Security Essentials 2010 is a corrupt version of computer security software that uses several methods to mislead the user and make him pay for the license of a waste program. To begin Security Essentials 2010 removal process, malicious processes named smss32.exe and SE2010.exe should be stopped. Windows processes can be stopped with Task Manager, which will be disabled by Security Essentials 2010. When launching Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete or right-click on the Taskbar and selecting "Task Manager", the following message will be displayed instead of Task Manager: Application cannot be executed. The file is infected. Please activate your antivirus software.

How to enable Task Manager and start Security Essentials 2010 removal:

1. Go to Windows directory and open System32 folder (C:\Windows\system32).
2. Rename file taskmgr.exe to iexplore.exe or taskmgr to iexplore if file extensions are hidden.
