What is SecureWarrior

1. What is SecureWarrior?

It is fraudulent computer program, pretending to be anti-virus software. SecureWarrior is a type of spyware, classified as rogue program. The program is also known as a scareware, because of its capability to obfuscate user by generating notices, informing about high risk occurrences.

Any activity that comes from SecureWarrior should not be trusted or followed. On the other hand, no additional effort is needed to walk into a trap, supposing that user has never interfered rogue program before. The program will perform computer scan as any other computer security program would do. In the end, a report containing various computer threat names will be created, even if the system was clean theretofore. Threat names will indicate malicious files, which has been transferred to computer by SecureWarrior. The program will put forward the service of threat removal, for which user will have to pay over insecure website. No money transactions for this false product should be made due to the fact that SecureWarrior will not remove any real viruses and spyware, furthermore the program is feckless to protect computer from unfabled malware.

SecureWarrior will display warning window with "This PC is NOT PROTECTED" notice in it. After choosing "Protect" option, user is taken to fraudulent payment page in order to obtain licensed program version.

There is SecureWarrior entry in Add/Remove Programs utility (Control Panel). Going in for this method will not remove infection completely, as a few malicious entries will remain in Windows Registry. To top it all, the main fake alerts causer - Trojan, will remain active, till properly removed.

3. How to remove SecureWarrior:

  1. Internet connection might be disabled or Internet browser might be blocked by SecureWarrior, so it won't be possible to download any files to infected computer. In this case please download all files required for SecureWarrior removal to another computer and then transfer them on the infected one using CD/DVD or USB flash drive.
  2. To remove SecureWarrior download Spyware Doctor and install the program (for the installation guide click here). Before installation, make sure all other programs and windows are closed.
  3. After the installation, computer scan should be started automatically. If so, please move to the next step. If not, click "Status" on the left side menu and press "Scan Now" button to run computer scanner as shown in the picture below:

  4. After the scan has been completed and scan results have been generated, press "Fix Checked" button to remove SecureWarrior.

  5. Restart the computer to complete SecureWarrior removal procedure.
