1. What is Malware Protection?

Malware Protection is a fake anti-spyware program, which displays false computer security warnings, stating that viruses have been detected. All of these alerts are not real and are used only to trick user into purchasing Malware Protection license in order to remove found threats. Malware Protection is promoted through fake online computer scanners and a number of infected websites. The program belongs to the same family as XP Deluxe Protector.

The program will disable Windows Task Manager to prevent user from ending malicious processes, which can make Malware Protection removal easier. When trying to open Task Manager a warning message that the file taskmgr.exe is infected will be displayed and will ban it from opening:

taskmgr.exe can not start
File taskmgr.exe is infected by W32/Blaster.worm. Please activate Malware Protection to protect your computer.

Internet Explorer also cannot be started and when trying to launch it the following alert will be displayed:

iexplore can not start
File iexplore.exe is infected by W32/Blaster.worm. Please activate Malware Protection to protect your computer.

Malware Protection will be launched every time Windows are started and will perform system scan automatically, which will generate scan results in the end. It will state that some files has been infected with malware such as W32.Blaster.Worm, Email-Worm.Brontok and Mal/Generic-A. All threats detected by Malware Protection are not real and should be disregarded.

Malware Protection is illegal anti-spyware software and is used to scare and deceive user. Do not make any payments requested by this program. Use Malware Protection removal guide instead.
