HomeAntivirus 2009 (or Home Antivirus 2009) is classified as rogue program because of its tendency to display fictitious warnings about computer security.
The initiation of the infection. Computer is infected by a Zlob.Trojan in first place and that is the main causer of fake security warnings. After user reacts to Trojan alerts by clicking on them, HomeAntivirus 2009 is downloaded and installed.
HomeAntivirus 2009 behaviour. Many useless files are created on a hard disc along with HomeAntivirus 2009 installation, which later will appear in PC scan results as malware, which in fact are not real threats.
Another reason we consider HomeAntivirus 2009 to be rogue program - ability to generate sales by trick. Once computer system has been scanned, user is provided with a report containing assumed spyware and viruses. Now the user has to click on a button to remove found threats, what will cause a notification to purchase licensed HomeAntivirus 2009 version.
