How to Remove DefendAPc

Posted on 21 January 2010 under Rogue Programs

1. What is DefendAPc?

DefendAPc is unreliable and compromising computer application that pretends to be anti-spyware program. The main objective is to convince user that his computer is infected with viruses, thus promoting DefendAPc as anti-spyware program, which, as promised can cope with computer malfunctions. Unfortunately, this is a lie and DefendAPc is not able to remove any computer threats that can be posing serious risks. Despite the fact that DefendAPc is a misleading program, it will also ask user to buy licensed or full version in order to clean viruses.

Computer scan and report will create the impression that computer is infected. Right after DefendAPc has been installed a computer scan will be initiated, followed by a report, full of the titles of the virus-like names that is definitely causing doubts to the victim about computer security.

At the DefendAPc installation process a number of harmless, but at the same time unnecessary files will be transferred on hard drive which will be later treated as malicious objects under the names in the scan report.
