It is a rogue computer security software, that displays cautionary messages, telling that:
PC may not have system protection system. This may lead to your PC being infected.

User is asked to scan the computer by agreeing with dialog box, which starts to download AntiVirus 2008 rogue security program. Computer scan process will be launched right after AntiVirus 2008 has been installed, which will generate a report in the end containing assumed threats or non-spyware applications, which are being considered as malicious objects.

There is a rogue webpage that advertises Antivirus 2008 program by showing Warning messages containing fake information about dangerous files found thus impressing user that his computer is at high security risk. User usually is being redirected to such a webpage by browsing malware related websites. You can see the sample below:
